Swiss Deluxe Hotels “H” Magazine
Swiss Deluxe Hotel magazine concept for their biannual magazine from the world of hospitality, food and travel.
The Swiss Deluxe Hotel organisation asked for concepts for their magazine that would showcase the many luxury hotels who are members of their organisation.
After I did some research into the Swiss Deluxe Hotel organisation and the member hotels, it became apparent that there would be many hotel brands that would be presented within the same magazine issue. Presenting the problem of having a Swiss Deluxe Hotel brand mixing with many other brands, creating a challenge of cohesion, while maintaining each hotel brand integrity.
Carefully looking at the research data and thinking about different possible magazine concepts, it was decided that the magazine would be a container for the information. We created a simple, clean layout that was anchored with the layout philosophy of the swiss designer Josef Müller-Brockmann. Going as far as selecting only swiss designed fonts, subtly reenforcing the swiss organisation and membership. To add excitement and anticipation we created an image language that would use close-up imagery emphasizing the focus on in-depth insights that are presented to the readership.
